We aim to help our interns develop a personal mentoring network, including a safe space to build resilience and advocacy skills. The program addresses existing disparities and promotes equal opportunities for all individuals interested in pursuing leadership opportunities or careers in STEM.

Our different intern positions vary based on availability but current positions include: web developers, business analysts, social media coordinators, program managers and virtual assistants.

  • The application process is through email by sending your resume and portfolio (depending on the position) to leadership@herwill.org.

  • All positions are remote unless specified otherwise.

  • The time commitment that’s expected is between 5-10 hours a week for a 3-month timeframe.

  • Depending on the position you’re applying for, there is an overarching project for each position. Weekly tasks are assigned to each intern from their lead who meets with them on a recurring basis to guide them through the project.

HerWILL’s Internship program recognizes and amplifies the crucial role of diverse voices in the STEM field.

Our goal is to provide our students with hands-on experience in the workplace and further establish their skills to excel in the field.

During these past 2+ years, we have supported over 30 internships, providing them with training, information, and resources, as well as regular check-ins with each intern. Our latest intern cohort is made of 10 interns with varying backgrounds. We open the program to all those interested in furthering our mission to diversify the STEM field.
